I guess the Huskers were exposed.  Wow!  If Becky doesn't screw up to start out the year, that is a team to reckon with.  As much as I hate Becky, that was impressive.

Huskers laid an egg.  i refuse to believe that Wisconsin is that good running the ball.  having Ball in the game in the 4th quarter just shows what kind of coach BB is and eventually it will catch up to him.  can't wait until teh NCAA comes down on that jerk for some recruiting violations that are unknown as of now but will eventually come out (no team is squeaky clean and the hammer will fall at some point)  with Barry's mafia connections and as pig headed as Bertha is the program is ripe for a hammer!

as far as the game itself it was hard to watch.  it almost had that car crash appeal where you had to watch to see how bad it could get.

so on to bowl games where i will force myself to root for all the Big Ten teams to win.

I watched pretty much no football yesterday.  But then I went and looked up the score at about half-time and I couldn't believe it. It sickened me, not as a Gopher fan but as a football fan to see, a team that quite literally backed into the championship game, losers of 3 of their last 4 games and 3rd in their division, come out and do what they did last night.

Honestly I don't even know why Wisconsin had their still in that game so late.  They had the game in hand and Bielema keeps his starters in through the 4th quarter, it's just asking for karma to come and bite you in the behind.
Shhh..... My Common Sense is Tingling.

I expect BB wanted to put up more points on the Huskers than Urban Meyer did.

I wasn't born in Wisconsin, but I got here as soon as I could.

glad you are there and not here if you are thrilled to get there.

that kind of mentality by your coach is the stuff that makes people think he is an A$$

eventually that kind of stuff comes back to smack the coach.

i'm never going to count the badgers out again. performances like that show that the foundation is strong in madison. they had a down year and shouldn't have been playing in that game, but that was beat down.

the big ten is not good. the only team that i would want watch (outside of the gophers) is northwestern.

Congrats to the Gophers on a bowl-eligible season from a Badgers fan. Coach Kill has the Gophers moving in the right direction. Good luck in the bowl game.

You got to be kidding right? Who did they beat this year? Illinios, Wow really impressive. The only thing they did different than the last couple of years was they didn't lose to a North Dakota St. Coach Kill seems like a good guy but come on its the freaking gophers. They haven't been good my entire life unless you include going to the Sun Bowl as impressive.

Get over yourself. Turning a 3 win team into a bowl team in one season is an accomplishment, and clearly shows a team is headed in the right direction...congratulations on the Big Ten Championhip that your team shouldnt have been playing for though.

We beat a bowl bound Purdue and the Bowl bound/Co-Big East Champs Syracuse. I guess that doesn't count though....

Congrats on the huge Purdue and Syracuse wins. Both teams are current powerhouses and beating those teams prove that for the next decade the Gophers will rule the Big Ten. I hear it every year year from Gopher fans about how the Gophers are on the rise and the Badgers are on the decline.

Both of you are wrong.  Wisconsin ran the ball 50 times, but passed only 10--and did not throw a single pass in the second half.  So, how did they score so many points?  Here's the drive chart in the second half:

1 - 1 play, 9 yards, TD
2 - 3 plays, 75 yards, 57-yard TD
3 - 4 plays, 80 yards, 68-yard TD
5 - 3 plays, -5 yards, punt
6 - 6 plays, 75 yards, 10-yard TD (following a 46-yard run)
7 - 4 plays, 18 yards, punt
8 - 2 plays, -2 yards, game over

So, UNL turned the ball over at the 9, gave up two long TD runs, and another long run that led to a TD.  Ball was pulled early in the 4th quarter--just after he got 200 yards (which is what BB probably wanted for him, given the adversity he's had this year).

So where's the RUTS here?  Are running backs supposed to take a knee rather than score when they're running free downfield?  Don't the defensive players have a responsibility to--you know--tackle them?
These ARE the Good Old Days.

love it.

how long did your starting QB play?  well into the 4th or the whole game?  How many back up OL were in well into the 4th?  yes you ran the ball and yes NU shoudl have stopped you but they didnt and your coached kept the Ball in until he got 200 yards no matter what the game score was.  i wonder what you would be saying if Ball tore up his knee on the play he went over 200 yards?

you can say what you will and i really doesnt matter, your coach gets paid to whip up because that is what Barry wants.  he is not looking at it from the stand point of what is best for the game but rather what will make Bertie look better!

it is ok most everyone that follows college football outside the Badger land understands what your coach is all about.

Realistically, the Badger fans have way more than just bragging rights over us right now, but for them to come in here, and act as if their team deserved the last two big ten championships is just beyond stupidity...and for them also to claim that a bowl game for us is not an accomplishment is just dumb.

Go ahead and talk trash, because your team and program is better than ours at this moment...but dont be dumb about it.

and they are so easily pushed.  it is funny how so many check out other boards for amusement.  their board must suck so bad they need to see what other teams are saying about their team
