Series Thread: No. 1 Minnesota vs. Alaska Anchorage

The Gophers take on the visiting Seawolves in a two-game series at Mariucci. Join GopherDigest to chat live about all the action.

Friday gametime is 8:00 pm CT and will be broadcast on BTN.

Saturday's game is back to its normal time at 7:00 and will be on FSN.

Gophers need a sweep this weekend heading into the NoDak series. Have to keep the momentum going.

Great chance in front from Serratore to Boyd but Boyd tips it wide. Great effort by both players.

UAA with a ton of pressure out front. Gophers just can't clear. Seawolves already have 5 SOG compared to 0 for Minnesota.

Seven shots on net for the Seawolves. Terrible start for Minnesota.

Very nice offensive possession by the Warning, Condon, Budish line. Lots of time in the UAA end but no goal.

Gophers have evened up the shot 7-7. Playing better now but still trailed 1-0 with 7:19 left in the first.

Tough break for the Gophers as Serratore is headed to the box. Interference is the call.

Gophers kill of the penalty with ease. No real chances for the Seawolves.

Gophers head to the locker room down 1-0 and trailing 12-8 in shots. Couldn't really get much worse for the No.1 team in the country.

Big adjustments have to be made at the break.

Condon streaks past the D for a chance on goal. Good way to start this period.

Gophers score! One-timer by Warning might have gotten tipped by Rau in front. Nice feed by Schmidt to set it all up. 1-1.

Amazing tip by Rau. Looked like he got a piece of the puck in mid-air. Rau from Warning and Schmidt at 2:10. That is Rau's 10th of the season.
