Kyle Rau gets the goal off a tip on a Parenteau shot. Bjugstad gets the other assist on the goal.

Canisius slows down the Gophers pace a little and gets two shots on Wilcox, who handles both with ease.

Marshall with a nice pass in front to Budish for a chance. I think Marshall's skills are suited well for wing.

Grant said Gopher commit and U-18 player Hudson Fasching is in the building today watching his future team.

The Gophers are getting a lot of shots from the point today.

I saw a Tampa Bay Lightning scout here today, likely watching goalie Adam Wilcox who was drafted by the team No. 178 overall in 2011.

Gophers get a penalty for too many men on the ice.

I didn't see the replay either. I was trying to figure out the call.

Gophers up 1-0 after the first period.

14-8 shot advantage.

I thought Rau, Haula and Parenteau played hard/well that first period.

1-0 after one period. Canisius stepped up their play and had a couple decent chances. After such an early goal I wasn't sure if they'd be able to respond and they have managed to head into the locker room only giving up that early score.
