Both teams start with bad shots. Austin has a three rim out. Fast pace to get it started.

Sparty with two inside. Dre hits a long two. Gophers had a tough job getting any open looks and Dre hit a tough shot. Need to get the ball down low better.

MSU shot rims out Rodney with the board. MSU gets away with a BLATANT foul. Sparty runs the floor but Rodney gets a block.

Elliot hits a two. 7-4 MSU. Nix couldn't answer. Coleman has his shot blocked from behind. MSU passes themselves open and drains a 3. 10-4. Coleman answers with 2. 10-6.

Mo, Wally, Oto, Mav, and Ingram in. MSU misses a long jumper. Gophers grab the board. Mav draws a foul. Oto with a really bad pass but it goes out on MSU. Ellenson was forced to jack up a shot as the shot clock expired. Got rim but no net. MSU passes open another three. 13-6.

Ingram called for an offensive foul. MSU misses a three. Oto gets the board. Oto with another poor pass to Mo. Out on MSU again. Terrible passing by Oto. Then he almost crashes into Mav on the inbounds pass. He looks lost. Mav drives and throws up another shot as the shot clock expires. It was an airball.

MSU gets called for a foul. In reality Oto just turned it over and fell on his face. Coleman, Mbakwe, Dre, Rodney, and Austin in.

Williams with a huge swat. Coleman with an impossible attempt, shoulda been a foul. Ball went out on MSU. 13-6 with about 7 to go in the first. Refs aren't calling anything on either team.

Mbakwe with another great rebound. Refs are apparently blind as they miss a foul and a MSU player stepping out of bounds back to back. MSU bricks a three as the shot clock ticked away. Mbakwe with another board. Williams with a tough shot down low. 13-11 MSU lead.
