What are our chances vs Michigan?

What are our chances vs Michigan?

I think we have a real good shot. Michigan was a little exposed against Ohio State but who knows might have set em off to go off. With the resiliency we showed against Indiana I'm not counting the gophers out even if they find themselves down early. How do you guys feel we match up against them?

I think there's no doubt we have an advantage down in the post. McGary is still learning and although Morgan is strong, he's not a grown man like Trevor. Robinson is very talented, though. I'm worried about them lighting it up from the perimeter. Curious to see who they put Austin lockdown Hollins on because we need him to shut down one of their options. Wouldn't surprise me to see him on Burke.

Can the Hollins' play lockdown defense on Burke and Hardaway without getting into foul trouble themselves?

I think the X factor will be how well Coleman plays and how well Michigan's other outside gunners shoot the ball.

Our bench has not been very productive the past two games.  Meanwhile Michigan finally had a cold shooting game against Ohio.

Minnesota's advantage may be in creating an uptempo game via defensive pressure.  However,  if Michigan is able to run their half-court sets and get Hardaway and Burke open for good looks then Minnesota will be fighting uphill for the second straight game.

This should be a great game of contrasting styles of basketball.

Its gonna be about the guardplay. If the Hollins' can play lock down D and get the ball inside and get their points we have a very good shot. Michigan's D always gives us fits though

I feel pretty good about tomorrow's game. We need to win our home games. Inside we do have the advantage. We need great games out of Trevor and Rodney with lock down defense from our guards. My prediction - Minnesota 78, Michigan 69.

Austin will likely be on Hardaway, and Andre on Burke, with Joe on Stauskas probably.  Rodney will probably stick Robinson, with Trevor on Morgan.

Andre has to watch out that he doesn't get in foul trouble defending Burke though.

Rodney is going to have to have a big game for us tonight for the Gophers to squeak this game out.
