B1G DB preview

Interesting B1G Network article

Any thoughts on this?  I think the DBs could be a pleasant surprise this year.  I can't say where the Gophers rank in the conference.  BBC is someone who I think will make a difference.

Re: B1G DB preview

I don't quite get the inexperience part.  We return Murray, Thompson, Johnson, Wells, Travis and get Boddy-Calhoun back.  All of those guys have seen significant PT.  Myrick saw a little bit of action in the secondary last season.

Also Dinehart couldn't even spell Antonio Johnson's name correctly.

So if you look at our Nickel package with Murray and Wells on the outside, BBC in the slot with Thompson, Johnson or Travis at the safety positions we should be looking pretty good.
Shhh..... My Common Sense is Tingling.

If this don't fuel coaches and players then nothing will...if this team has any kind of pass rush our pass defense will be deadly...

I believe Sawvel was tweeting about this.  Saying this was probably the most experienced secondary he's coached.

Tweeted back and forth with TC

This defense will be better than what those so called experts think.  they are going with what will sell more interest.  right now the Gophers are not the flashy team.  go out and win the bowl game and things would have been different.

I suspect after this season's great season the gophers will turn a few more heads and yet will not still get the props they deserve.

I think that will help Kill and Co continue to excel beyond the Mason Dixie line
