MarQueis Gray was officially invited to the NFL combine.  

Congrats to Mr. Gray on getting an invite.


I think the last Gophers to get invited were Decker, Lawrence and Triplett.

Carter got screwed again.

i hope he does well i have my doubts as when he wasnt playing QB he wasnt out there playing other positions?  If he was a true athlete wouldnt he been able to play other positions easily i.e. robinson or Gardener from Michigan.

Well he played WR fairly easily when that was all he had to focus on.  This year he was too hurt to really throw out there every play at WR.  And then in the bowl game I think they had planned on using him at WR and QB but then decided to just play him at QB.

I think teams have seen how he runs and they've seen him catch passes the question will be do they want to use him at WR or TE?

yes this is a positive spin on gray i just hope he does well and represents the U lilke others that have been given shots inthe NFL.

he has been a good Ambassador for the U as a student athlete and i wish him all the best and would love to continue to see him play football

both carter and gray have a shot making teams next season depending on how they run at the combine. i don't think either one of them are burners, but carter has good size for a cb (if his measurements at gophersports are acurate). and i think that gray will be a no brainer for a free agent contract if he doesn't get picked up somewhere in the late rounds. he's got too much upside.

i think whilhite has a chance playing linebacker in a 3-4. i saw him drop back in coverage a few times for the gophers. but i am treading on the thin ice of my football knowledge saying that.

cooper makes a practice squad.

still not a lot of great nfl prospects coming out of minneapolis. hopefully that will chance as kill starts developing the program.

Carter deserved an invite. He earned it. He just keeps getting overlooked.
