Memphis (Tenn.) Fairley DT Demaris Peppers just announced on via Twitter that he has committed to the Golden Gophers. Peppers had originally planned on taking more visits before giving his verbal but pulled the trigger Saturday afternoon. 

Good for the Gophers to add some interior defensive lineman to this class.

We really needed a dt or two this class so this is a needed pick up. Seems like a pretty solid prospect

Good week on the recruiting front.

Not rated yet by scout, Rivals and ESPN both have him as a 3 star.

for me Kills recruiting so far is better than expected and given time he will turn things around.  the lose to Michigan has me perplexed right now and i think i will wait unitl i re-watch the game berfore really cutting loose on my thoughts. 

without further research i feel his recruits have had more offers than in his last two seasons and they are a littel higher rated than he ahs gotten.  small steps to getting those 4star kids.


Coach Kill wants to see improvement but he knows the length of process and its not happening overnight.  there were opportunities in this Michigan game that were not taken advantage of that next year this team will.  Key point is that He needs that 6th win AND a bowl invitation (not a guarantee) so that he can continue to move the needle of the program.

at the beginning of the year who woudl have thought that a win against Michigan was possible?  needs 1 of the last three.

Is Henrick Ekpe a 2013 recruit or the class after. I was Impressed by his brother's size/build yesterday when at the game. Would be nice to add him in addition to Mr. Peppers.

This year but he's a DE I think

Welcome aboard, Demaris! Sounds like a great and smart kid. We needed to pick up some DL in this class, so good thing we have someone like him.
