Just a sore loser.   This president did a lot for this country.  Maybe not in your eyes, but he did for many others.

This is the land side I was expecting.   Democrat pick ups in the Senate too.  redthumb.gif

Did a lot?

The man has never made any real attempts to reach across the aisles.  He's rejected an efforts on the Republicans to work with him, beginning with his curt "I won." comment in 2009.

It's pretty to blame Bush for starting the fire, and I won't argue that, but at some point, when you arrive on a wave of public enthusiasm and have a fillibuster-proof majority for the first two years, you have to at least look like you care about this country.

Obama has done a lot for the media -- photo ops at sporting events, appearances on talk shows, etc. -- but little for hard-working stiffs like myself.  I truly don't sense that he cares about people or that he likes to work with others.  Democrats like to nitpick on Romney, but look at his record of charitable donatoins and deeds, as well as his ability to play well with the other party.  I don't have to like my president if he gets the job done.

Obama has not.  Lowest approval rating, record unemployment numbers, more debt and spending then all previous presidents combined, and his promise of transparency in government was a farce.

If the voting trends hold, he will be my president and I will support him as an American, but I'm terrified for the future, man.  Downright terrified.

The bold is a flat lie.  If Obama is such a sh!t (I didn't vote for him), why was the best the GOP had to offer a tool who wanted 5 trillion in tax cuts and 2 trillion more in defense spending?

now, I'm sure the President will work to reach across the aisle, to heal the rift/divide.  the question I wait to see answered:  will he reach across with an Olive branch?  or a sledge hammer.

Now that the next 4 years is 'certain'...let's see how the business world reacts.

Perhaps increased taxes and govt spending really will jumpstart this economy...and solve the debt/deficit.

CAREFUL!     VP Biden, some DC politicians and the liberal media have determined I am a terrorist...

Not only that, but the employment numbers ARE improving, and Obama did reach across the aisles, but when you have people 2 years ago publicly announcing we are going to do ANYTHING to defeat Barrack Obama, the G.O.P. wasn't going to work with hm.  His popularity numbers did come back up.  It's called sour grapes.

Matt I wouldn't call out the brilliance of others with posts like this.

Bo (who I did not vote for) passed a tax cut for a middle class "working stiffs", a payroll tax holiday, and a step towards more fairness in health insurance.

What more did you want?

Some working stiffs even got help with mortgage purchases, mortgage restructuring, and car purchases.

Too afraid to ruin your conserva cred to admit it? Or too ignorant to realize it?

The media?  How about millions spent by Romney destroying his opponents?  Further, I thought the GOP was too smart for MSM spin?  It was a GOP primary.  Are you saying that GOP voters can't make good decisions?

Not that it matters, but if Romney would have proposed accross the board cuts, no new tax cuts, and modest defense cuts, he would have been better off.  (I like EMAW's idea about 10% across the board cuts.)

A lot of people people - like myself - don't buy into supplyside economics.  He lost a few to Johnson and a few to Obama.

The evidence is that cutting taxes for the"Job creators" doesn't create jobs when the top tax rate is so much lower than the Reagan years. I think that was the difference in the election. If the Republicans campaigned on cutting programs and returning the tax rate to the Reagan years they would have won.

The people have spoken: More divided government.
Americans have little faith in either party.  The debacle continues.

I suspect two years from now, we are going to hear both sides complain that their agendas were thwarted by the other side.
