Subject: Potential big news for BB fans in the state of
Kansas

The following is supposedly in reference to one Bill Self,
who may be jumping to the NBA in the near future;

This is Doug Brown from Deadspin. I do colleges sports
investigations. We just got another tip from someone saying he got a woman
pregnant so it's possible it actually happened. Would love some more information
from you, even if all you know is rumor, it's still a good starting point for
me. Keep in mind, if you decide to tell me more, I will not bring up your name
to anybody. You will remain confidential. I'm just trying to find a starting
point.

How did this information reach you? Don't need to give me
names (but if you do want to tell me that, it'd be great), just the path the
info took.

Who else would know more information? Who should I
contact?

Do you know the name of the place where the woman works? (the
other tip we just got named where he thought she worked, so if you say the same
place, it makes it more of a possibility it's true).

Please let me know all that you've heard. I will not publish
anything until things are confirmed by multiple people with direct knowledge,
but rumors help with where to start.

BTW...just so there is no confusion, I am not the tipster.  Apparently this was posted by the alleged tipster on another board where it was then copied and sent around via email...my son's office just happened to get it and passed it around to their fellow KStaters and Squawks who work for his company.

I'm suprised he just heard of this. He needs to ask some guys from the Phog. That's where they all originate from.

Interesting though. Will be nice to see somebody investigate sources and actually publish the findings. The truth coming out could be a dagger to Selfs future with the Squawks. 

Since this is a Jayhawk topic, here's another recent rumor.. actually it's been a rumor for a little while now, but now Freshman Anrio Adams seems to be backing it up with twitter posts.  Looks like Self has another problem to deal with...

Last night he was tweeting things such as "yall can't even call my moms back" and "been thinkin hard all day" and "did this to myself"

KU fans will say this is no big deal and it is just someone upset. In Ku fans eyes, Self does nothing wrong. He does not run off players, or do bad things in the community. I hope all this comes back to bite KU in the ass. It will serve them right for thinking they have a clean program and KU never does anything wrong.

I'm not sure how losing Adams would really hurt KU. Having said that I doubt he goes anywhere. The kid has been one of the most excited and animated kids on KU's bench all year.

It could hurt KU because of one word, "Distraction".  I can't see how the tweets he posted(and more than above) could settle well with the team(particularly EJ & Tharpe) or coaching staff.

Meh these guys played with Tyshawn. Twitter never became a distraction then. These guys all live together and spend hours with each other. I don't think a venting of frustrations on twitter by a freshman who wants to play will hurt. It's not like freshmen never considered transferring or vented before twitter.

Yeah, maybe that's the case... maybe not.  We probably won't know.  Even though if I was EJ or Tharpe and Rio referred to me as getting playing time because I was a "favorite" I just don't see that setting well with me.  But like you said, it still may not have any affect on performance... who knows.

Yeah I'm not saying it can't happen but if there's one thing I'm not worried about with a Self coached team is the chemistry. He always seems to get that right.

What did you guys make of all the shots of Self's wife at the game?!? No reason to show that unless there was real trouble brewing at home - especially since she already moved out!

Have to make it look good plus I think she is an OSU grad as well so she was probably there seeing friends.
