Re: Is this good recruiting for Snyders staff?

He's a legacy, but let's ignore that for a sec. He's 5'6" 160 lbs and still has a 2 star rating here and a 3 star rating on TOS. He has exceptional speed and probably has a good set of hands to even have a rating such as that. A lot of success at WR is based on how well someone can run routes. TT isn't that big but his ability to run a crisp route gets him open a lot. I'm sure LeAndrew could run similar routes as TT. He just won't be getting any jump balls. Brandon Banks is about his size and is doing pretty well.

He is said to be the fastest WR prospect of 2013. Period.
Yes- he's a good get.

I'm good with this. LHOFHCBS has had many small players who thrived in his system.

Aaron Lockett:  5'7" / 165 (link)16165
Darren Sproles: 5'7" / 170 (link)
Aaron Banks: 5'7"/ 149 (link)

All were thought to be too small or fragile to play the game by some, and all had a lot of success for us.

Zen, this is Joe Gordon's son. Do you not trust the genes?

LeAndrew is a great kid as well.  Fast, and an incredible work ethic.  Good get.

I think 5' 6" TDs count the same as 6' 2" TDs.....  biggrin

They not only thrived here but they were all three good enough to play in the NFL as well. Small and that fast, yea it's a good get especially if Bill thinks so.

It is better that it is Coach Snyder and not Coach Weber.

Snyder always seems to have a super-fast little guy around.  They're difficult to find on the field by defenders too! biggrin

How big does one HAVE to be to return kicks/punts?  Sure, he's listed as a WR, and may well get snaps there.  But we all know that K-State places a strong emphasis on Special Teams.  Wouldn't surprise me if they recruited a few players strictly for the third phase of the game.  After all, they recruit kickers... they recruit punters... why not recruit a return specialist or two?  It's possible.

Jeesh. 4.3 speed? I was skeptical back when we signed him, but that is lightning quick.

I think he fits the system. How tall do you have to be to catch a bubble screen off of the zone read? And the kid's a blur. He accelerates well and is shifty.
