How did KSU end last season? Nobody is talking about last season. Here's how you'll end this season.

Well when two of your wideouts not to mention one the best punt and kickoff returners in the nation are not in game kind of hard to stretch field and get good field position. Not a huge surprise there. --------------------------------------------- --- ode2luke wrote: They ended last season like this which was followed by stuff like this. Forgive me but isn't it kind of stupid to talk smack to Oregon who has been to several BCS bowls recently and we haven't been to one in 9 years. I'm just not getting all the rude/cocky posts toward these Oregon posters. They have been nothing but friendly trying to talk football over here and some folks have been anything but friendly towards them lately.

Is winning the Rose Bowl a big deal? I mean, afterall, you do (usually) play it against a Big10 team?

When it only happens once every 95 years, it's a big deal, no matter who the opponent.

I kind of agree with the post above about being more humble. To the Oregon fans, please accept our "trash talk" as friendly jabs. Most KState fans are proud of our team and proud to be playing the ducks in a big game, we just wish it were THE big game. Our last BCS bowl did not go as planned, hoping this one ends differently. You guys are fine.
Wisconsin's fans, last year, were also very good sports.
Auburn and Ohio State, not so much - too arrogant.
Oklahoma .............wayyyyyyy, not so much, but you already knew that. . . . . .

I'm looking forward to meeting a lot of Oregon fans...if some of them are jerks...that's their problem not mine. Hopefully, Cat fans will behave appropriately and represent K-State well.

Most Oregon fans are great. It takes Oregon fans a little while to wam up, they have to comb moss out of their hair and flex the webs in their feet.
There are many beautiful ducks and they all hope the roof on U of Phonenix stays closed during the game because they are not sure how their team will react to sunlight.

Everyone is always a little more excited for BCS games. Quite a bit more chest pounding from both sides!
After the previous 3 BCS games, I think most Duck fans are a little board with the, 'My dad can beat up your dad' syndrome.
Hopefully, as a group, we are better able to take some of the jabs in stride at this point.
Just have to keep in mind when visiting an opponents board, there will always be poster that simply want to test you. Get creative, or don't take the bait! Problem is, sometimes the bait just tastes so good!

Having a month off between games gives us 'slow kids' time to come up with moderately intelligent smack!

Some healthy smack talk is fun and a good thing. It also gives fans a chance to network with different fan bases to the benefit of both. Just yesterday I was able to write a recommendation to my employer (a major discount retailer) for BilliesBrassBand. He's been applying for work but has been denied repeatedly for scoring too low on the interview exam. Hopefully my written support will help push him over the top. I used my special blue crayon.
