Dude, we're talking about KC ... if you want to be perceived as single, successful, and especially living the dream ... move the "F" out of the mid-west altogether.
Head to the coasts or the southwest ... thats where life after college starts. If you're ambition is to settle down in a midwestern cowtown, you're spot on.
Personally, I'd encourage you all to aim higher!!

And I'm trying my best to get you poor folks to expand your horizons. KC is small town, USA. Graduating from KU and moving to KC is not that much different than graduating from small town high school and going to work for the local bank or insurance agent. Come on men .... you just spent hundreds of thousands of dollars educating yourselves at a university that has a great name across the nation. Use It !! You could have gone to Baker or Rockhurst or KCJC and moved to KC and done just as well. If your going to act like your "living the dream" and bar hop after college, why don't you actually "lilve the dream" rather than acting like it. Take it from someone who graduated from KU, moved to KC and lived-ou the scenario of the OP. Its spot on ... if your ambition is to stay in a city with TERRIBLE professional sports (save Sporting), no real economic growth strategy, and enough WT to make up for the rest of the country. Raise the bar man !! AwCrickets wrote: This is the definitive thread about people moving from KU back to KC. Not the thread about chasing leatherskinned cougars from Old Town. What does sports have to do with anything? LA has no football team. Even if I was interested in moving to LA (I realize I'm not the target demographic of the OP) I would still be a Chiefs and Royals fan. And no, you couldn't pay me to go to a Sporting game.

Give me the beach bars in Laguna, Venice, Pacific or Mission beaches. Hell, give me Old Town Scottsdale. At least the women are much more attractive, and most are out looking for the same thing you are. You won't find the runts trying to lock you into marriage like you will in KC.HawkinDeutschland wrote:

Dude, we're talking about KC ... if you want to be perceived as single and successful, move the "F out of the mid-west altogether.
Head to the coasts or the southwest ... thats where life after college starts. If you're ambition is to settle down in a midwestern cowtown, you're spot on.
Personally, I'd encourage you all to aim higher!! Amazing Saturday nights at the Granfalloon just aren't appealing to you?
I love this moment so much I want to have sex with it.

STFU, no one cares. RockChalker wrote: And I'm trying my best to get you poor folks to expand your horizons. KC is small town, USA. Graduating from KU and moving to KC is not that much different than graduating from small town high school and going to work for the local bank or insurance agent.
