It's pretty crazy how news outlets will take social media as fact without any background checking and just run with it.

This is what gets me about the whole saga. There were dozens of outlets reporting this story throughout the entire year. How in the world did none of them ask any questions about this at all?

He's either incredibly stupid, or he was in on it. It details Te'o's encounters with her, in person for sh*t's sake. So he's a liar or he's convinced himself that she was real. This whole thing was concocted straight out of the Kauffman & Lawler Cookbook to get Te'o and Notre Dame more pub en route to the Heisman.

Might explain why Te'o sucked huge ass in the title game he knew his fake dead girlfriend was going to be found out. That plunging sound is Te'o draft stock.
