One thing for sure this year,

One thing for sure this year,

Ole' Don Fischer will wear us out with how young our team is. Year after year we are the only college team in the U.S. that has young players. At last to hear Fish.. tell it.

That's pretty funny.   I guess I don't understand the people that consistently defend the coaching staff without allowing for the obvious criticism, but to go to Fischer?   I don't get that.   He's paid by IU, so he's not going to be critical like some guys (Thom Brennaman) are.   Lots of teams are young now...

Re: One thing for sure this year,

I could never say nething bad bout Don Fischer, too many fabulous memories with that guy.  He deserves every benefit of every doubt, I should think, and then some.  Really, he's not too shy of iconic at this point.

We always enjoyed the pregame as much as the game, especially when he would always ask Bobby Knight who he would start that particular game.  Coach would never give him a straight answer, sometime asking Don who he would start.  The yearly interview with Cawood Ledford was enjoyable too, when we played them.  Hmmm, what a history we have.

Wow. Takin a shot at Fisch? The poster who said it is right; I'm gonna miss him when he's gone. Anyone expecting him to be truly subjective (his real opinion) will never be happy. As Colts said, he's paid by the university. You can see him teeter on that line in his weekly interviews with Dakich, but he knows better than to go all the way.

I enjoy Fisch for what he is; a passionate homer for IU football and basketball on every broadcast. And I will be devastated when he steps away. It's all I've ever known for IU football and basketball. When I was a kid, getting IU football on tv in southern Indiana was a rarity, so I grew up listening to Fisch every Saturday. And before satellite tv, when I lived in the country, it's how I had to listen to all the ESPN telecasted basketball games. Fall isn't truly near until I hear Don on the radio on a Saturday afternoon. He's synonymous with IU sports for me.

Have you looked at the lineup?  It is a young team.  How many teams in the country don't have seniors?

Just because you have a young team it doesn't mean you'll fail.  Honestly I think this will be a fun team to watch.  And I can't wait to hear Fisch call the games.

Go Hoosiers!!!
