Perhaps CTC is going to fill his spot with a 14 player.
Look, I gotta go, my Avatar is calling.

Best of luck to Peter Jurkin.  He was the first one of "The Movement" to commit, and we're now down to Yogi and Hanner.  Maybe the new "student-athlete bill of rights" will come into play for him.  Maybe it already has.

Story here from IUHoosiers.com:

Oh I remember that commit like yesterday, had such high hopes, the sun was shining on IU finally again.  Those were such heady times for a bright and championship future.  And now.....I'll just say major disappointment for IU basketball, imo.  All the best Peter, I'm quite sure you gave it all you had, and, in the end, nobody can expect more.  Thanks for all your gave.

Re: Jerkin is gone

So when we sign the next inexperienced 7-footer, will there be anyone left who'll try to sell people on the kind of immediate impact he'll have?   Remember when he and Parea were out the first part of the season 2 years ago?   "Man, when we get those two back, we'll be unstoppable!"    Jurkin was that rim protector.   That long, athletic defender IU hadn't had in, well, maybe ever.   Except Jobe, Muniru, Marc-Michele, Gray-Ashley, etc...

I have personally had enough of the experimental big men.   Good luck to the kid, however I'm hopeful his story isn't one we have to hear again.  "Potential" in an inexperienced big man isn't worth the paper the scholarship offer's printed on unless there's a serious work ethic AND a great big man coach.

Couldn't agree more. Let's hope the names April and Priller don't get added to that long list in a couple years.
