Leaving After 1 Year Cost NV

Another year of development and maturity would have paid big dividends for Noah. This years draft was stacked with talent. He played against double teams all year long due to our lack of outside shooters. I'm not sure of the difference in a 9th pick vs. A top 3 selection, but I know it is substantial. Seems like he was getting a lot of hype from those around him. Not that it mattered , he was a one and done from the get go.
Look, I gotta go, my Avatar is calling.

I'd have loved to see him hang around in B'town for another year. But he didn't lose much.

The top-3 to 5 chatter this year never made much sense. He doesn't have that kind of upside.
He went about where he belongs.

He may have gone as high as 5 or so next year. But the difference isn't enough to matter all that
  much in the long run.

Poor Noah will be making big bucks next year sitting on the bench rather than making nothing (we hope anyway) and playing a bunch.  One injury away from a lifetime of making nothing in the nba.  Good choice in my opinoin.   I feel that if you are going to be drafted in the first round, you should go for sure.   I never have a problem with a player going pro and making money.

Like getting drafted 9th overall in the NBA draft is a failure?  The sour grapes vibe is very strong here.  Sure, he would have made more money getting drafted higher but there are no guarantees.  As it stands, the young man is going to do quite well for himself regardless.
