Bulletin Board Material from Derrick Nix

It's Purdue week for us, but MSU's Nix is getting the jump on the conversation, complaining about a lack of respect for the Spartans.  Rodney Dangerfield couldn't get any respect either, but at least he was funny:

Nix has held his own against Zeller, I am sure he will continue to do so Tuesday. It took 18 turnovers and Appling only playing 19 minutes fouling out with 5 left to play for IU to win at home by 5. Breslin is a huge home court advantage for MSU and I am sure MSU will take advantage of it Tuesday. Right now Izzo has MSU playing with a chip on theirir shoulder. Once they are completely healthy, nobody will want to see them in their bracket. Nix is a senior feeling the pressure of his college career coming to an end. His comments are more about that than anything else. Before all is said and done: Payne, Dawson and Harris will be in the NBA. If Appling has the type of improvement next year that he had this year, he will get there as well.

It also took MSU shooting way above their season average from the three-point line just to come within five.

Don't forget that sixth man of yours in stripes, he played a great floor game for you. Too bad he's not making the trip, sure you enjoyed that 4-1 free throw advantage and getting every single close call while our best player watched most of the game from the bench.

You could make a strong case for any of the three refs, in addition to the MSU clock operator, as the sixth man for MSU tonight.

We played 5 on 9 the last minute and a half....and still beat you in your building.

But hey, at least you shot more free throws this time!

A lot of information there, but very little correct.  Appling's line:  36 minutes, 1 for 8 from the field, including 0-4 on threes, 4-7 from the FT line, 4 turnovers, 2 assists.  Oladipo and Ferrell ate him up.  You sure you want him playing more than 19 minutes against IU?  Oh, and Nix really wowed 'em with 8 points tonight while Zeller had just 17.  The Hoosiers would've won by double-digits were there an unbiased crew working the game tonight.
