Michigan-MSU

Michigan-MSU

Who do we root for tonite? I don't want to see Michigan get a big road win, but on the other hand, we are tied with MSU, and would love to see them get a home loss. Oh well, at least we know that one of them will lose. tongue

Regardless of whom you like better or respect more, this is about positioning in the B1G.  We benefit more from a loss by MSU, which gives us sole possession of first place in the conference.  It's as simple as that.

MSU, frankly, scares me more than UM.  They have the inside/outside game, more experience, and seem more disciplined.  They just don't go away.  Unless Appling's shoulder and Harris' back problems become a bigger issue than they are now, MSU presents our greatest challenge, IMO.

Meanwhile, as we wait for UM-MSU, it's entertaining to watch Kentucky down 15 at Florida at the under 12:00 timeout.

Not hard to find a team to root for in this one.

I am pulling for the wolverines, I really dislike that little crybaby Izzo always crying to the ref's. Are you watching KY? I hope they get pounded. On ch 11 sports tonight they had Indiana seeded first in the tournament and their first game would be against KY seeded 16th, Don't know if this is right, just their predictions. They had Louiville playing Valp and seeded 2nd. Keep me updated on tonight's please. Thanks.

John, Nerlens Noel just racked his knee pretty badly against the basket standard at Florida trying to block a breakaway layup.  He had to be helped off the court, and left for X-rays.  There was not a real good angle to see exactly what happened, but IMO he either hyper-extended it as he landed or banged it into the padded base of the goal standard.

Kentucky lost the game 69-52.  They may have lost their season and NCAA hopes if the injury to Noel is as serious as it looked.

Really too bad to see any young player get hurt, Whether you like their team or not, Sure ie bad for him because he has a very bright future ahead of him, he is really a gifted young man. Hope it is nothing serious.

10-7 MSU at the under 16:00. Pretty intense first four minutes. Michigan started McGary, which put three freshmen on the floor for them, and that is not going to help. They will need a huge game from McGary to have a chance in this one, but he's now on the bench with Morgan coming for him.

John, I think you should take some of your wife's tax refund check this year and invest in a dish or a cable TV hookup. You were stringing wires and cables over the weekend, weren't you? Pull a little coaxial and get yourself a hi-def setup. You'll thank me for it.

20-13 MSU at the under 12:00. The Indiana boys Dawson and Harris lead MSU with 6 points each, while Michigan's Indiana boys Robinson and McGary have only a single bucket between them, a lay-in by McGary.

Hardaway is scoreless so far also. MSU looks like the more confident, rhythmic team.

IUB, just me and my two dogs holding down this fort, wifey # 4 is long gone, so is my  girlfriend of the last 11 years. I would not have cable if they gave it to me free. I really dont like tv at all, Probably less than an 2 hours each week. Just try to watch sports on channel 11 for about 10 minutes. I am almost free at last when I get moved into my new place and kick my TV and phone. All I need is my PC and sometimes I wonder about it. I am a tree hugger and like the green lifestyle, I have no pressure at all only what I put on myself. Thanks.

RE: Michigan-MSU

MSU now up 11 with just over 6 minutes to go in the first half. Michigan is not out of this one, just MSU has been playing at a higher level on both ends of the floor. Decent defense on both sides, but MSU is outstanding.

Harris with another 3, it's now 31-17.

RE: Michigan-MSU

Michigan needs to regroup at halftime. They were getting beat in just about every phase of the game. 14-point game at the half.

Hardaway and Robinson have only 2 points between them. UM needs to find another gear on defense, get a few lucky bounces, and get a few shots to drop for Hardaway--or this one is over. Unless conditioning comes into play--remember how MSU was sucking wind at the end of the game at IU--the Wolverines are in trouble. See how many rabbits Beilein has in his hat.

Hey IUB? Thanks for the concern about me not having cable TV, my own choice. Just like to hear who is winning games, but I can live without knowing. Just like being able to watch our Hoosiers play, sometimes watching tv is not on top of my list of things that I Need to do.
I know that I can live the rest of my life without, cable tv, telephones, electricity, home heating, water out of the faucet, the local supermarket, food delivered to my door, and many other givens.
When the national grid goes down, no if's only (when)your government will take care of you along with the other million's of people just like you. I am sure that you will be on top of their list to make sure that you have all the necessities to live a comfortable life.
Myself. I am not counting on anyone to help me with anything, I can and will do it all on my own, Sorry for my spelling errors, I am not very well educated.

Hoosier Forever,
