IU-Purdue game
If we play the caliber of basketball that we played against MS, we will smoke Em. But I am always wary of a let down after an almost perfect game. I bet that Porky will have the Big O on his mind, I dont think they have anyone that can guard him, if they try the will probably foul out. Gonna be a good game, JMO just what the guys need.
Hoosier Forever, GO IU and smoke them porkchops.

Re: IU-Purdue game
If our hoosiers are down at halftime on the road, Will it shake them? or will they show their mettle and pull out a win? I know that we are a big favorite among Hoosier Fans, But this a different game in a different place, gonna be interesting.
Hoosier Forever, Go Iu and kick some boilermaker.

Re: IU-Purdue game
I'm thinking this could be a close game at the half. Purdue is going to be jacked up for this one. I believe we will wear them down over 40 minutes, though.
Anything can happen on the road in the B1G. Cody vs. Hammons is a matchup to watch, as well as Ronnie Johnson vs. Yogi. Victor should have a great night.
Let's get it on.

IU up 7-6 at the under 16:00. Pretty intense first four minutes. We pressed, but didn't bother them that much with it. Hammons second foul is big, probably going to see Travis Carroll out of the break. Hulls is on Byrd, when we're not zoning. The zone will come in handy tonight.
Vic is on Terone Johnson. Haven't heard from Terone so far.

RE: IU-Purdue game
Fast and furious action. At least Purdue isn't trying to take the air out of the ball, so the action is fluid and intense. Zebras will play a role in this one before it's over--I just hope we have a nice lead at the end.
Two fouls now on Byrd as well as Hammons. Jordy doing a decent job on Byrd so far. No sign of Hanner yet, though Sheehey, Hollowell, and Abell have subbed in.

RE: IU-Purdue game
Whoa, hit 'em with a flurry, now 27-17 at the under 8:00-even though we came up empty on the last two possessions.
Two fouls now on Yogi, both due to Purdue guys stepping in front of him after he dishes the ball off. Hulls only 1-4 from the floor.
It might be better for the Hoosiers if we don't have a big lead at the half. No way we can relax, not at Mackey.

RE: IU-Purdue game
Tough call on Hammons there for his third foul. That's a major development. Sheehey and Yogi have two for us.
Hollowell looked good on the defensive end during his stint. Both teams using their benches freely, nobody's going to wear out at this rate, despite the furious pace.
Have another shot, John, unless you're a mean drunk.

RE: IU-Purdue game
Well, you should be happy, since we're up 20 at the half. I just hope we don't start celebrating too early, because Purdue could very well make a game of it yet. But what do I know?
The double-digit lead has keep the crowd somewhat in check, and we had a very nice rhythm in the second 10 minutes of the first half. We're pounding the boards, getting steals, limiting turnovers to five in the half. Oh yeah, and 16-17 from the line.
And we could still have played better. Keep the game faces on, lads, and let's pour it on.

Great first half. Now, let's keep the pedal to the metal in the second half, and get on to Saturday and UM.
Glad to see DE get in the game and make a contribution.
GO HOOSIERS !!

RE: IU-Purdue game
Hard to see what adjustments Purdue could make at the half. They could start by not flinging up crap. Some crazy choices of shots in that first half, they came a bit unglued when we hit them with our first big run.
I suppose they could try to press. Zeller could go for 40 if they do. A fourth foul on Hammons would be huge, look for Zeller to go right at him early in the second half.

I've been up here in the Chicago area since the mid-70's, and the Chicago media doesn't follow the Hoosiers very closely. Had to endure a lot during the Lou-doo era at Illinois. Whenever Bob was in the news, it was usually for all the wrong reasons, if you're a Hoosier fan.
