Illinois - Michigan

Iowa fell short at Purdue this afternoon, so we're not looking at a poetntially perfect day for IU basketball fans--but Michigan at Illinois offers us another chance at boosting our spirits even higher.

If Illinois is hitting their shots from downtown, they can beat any team in the country.  Morgan just went limping to the Michigan locker room with an injury, so there's a lot of pressure on McGary early, and he'll need some help.

Now 7-6 Illinois at the under 16:00.

I don't think so. They take a bizillion shots every game and make a third of a bizillion.

Illinois is one team that we won't have to zone. Even Egwu likes the jump shot, not to mention Griffey. I think part of their recent struggles is they don't have an inside game that teams have to defend, so opponents have figured out they just need to pressure them on the perimeter and take away their open looks from deep.

They don't tend to rack up many assists, either. It works if they're hitting their shots, but tonight they're shooting under 35% from the floor and trailing by 13 at the under 12:00.

Have they given an update on the injury to Morgan? I went to get dinner at halftime and didn't hear if they said anything bout him.

Horford and Bielfeldt have done a nice job filling in for Morgan. This one looks like it's getting away from the Illini. They have time if they can throw a shutout, but the Michigan points are coming easier now as the game wears on.

Hey IUB them wolverines are going to be a tough out, but as early in the season it is a lot can change very quickly, just like going on a bear hunt, The hunter can become the hunted in a very short time.

Hoosier forever,
