Go Irish!

Go Irish!

I'm not a reversible jacket fan, but tonight it's all about the Irish as they take on Kentucky.  ND off to a decent start, running their offense well and hitting their share of shots.  Keep it up!  Go get Skylar Diggins if you have to.

Notre Dame by 11 at the half. Can't believe they let Polson get that scoop layup off in the closing seconds. ND's zone has been very effective, expect some adjustment by UK in the second half.

Or expect UK to get beat.

Up 12 with 1:22 to go, this one belongs to the Irish. Great job by the ND guards, Kentucky did not display any sense of urgency all night. UK out-shot, out-hustled, out-worked, out-coached. Works for me.

ND fans now rushing the court--be careful, don't slip on any strippers!

Up next for UK is Baylor at coRuppt. Hard to find a team to root for in that one.

Kentucky looks like an 8 seed. Good thing for them they play in the SEC - if they blayed in the B1G, they'd be a bubble team. What an irrelevent group of NBA wannabe's.

Had to go over and check the temperature of the CatsIllustrated site on Rivals.  This one about sums it up for Hoosier fans--at least one UK fan with some perspective:

That IU team I saw two nights ago would do unspeakable things to this current UK squad.    We picked the right year to drop those guys.

Well, after watching the performance of some of the B1G teams in the ACC Challenge, UK might fit in around the middle of the pack in our league.  Bubble team sounds about right, if we're going to get 7 teams in the dance.

They do have some talent, but the lack of experience is showing early.  I wouldn't rule out substantial improvement over the months, but right now there are so many better teams out there than Kentucky.  Point guard play, leadership, defense.  Long row to hoe for the Squid.

Good job by the Irish. The funny thing is, if the sport was football, I'd be rooting for Kentucky as hard as I was rooting against them last night.

Eagles/Indiana/Mets/Villanova: it's a long story

That's the problem for Cal--these players get paid the same whether they win or lose.

He needs to watch his step or they'll form a union.

Let's think about this though, what happens if this bunch of Kittens is a total bust.  Does he shove them off to the NBA anyways?   I mean, he is pretty much recruiting year to year.  If he talks these kids into staying then his next batch of Kittens might get angry.  You can cherry pick the Top 10 of recruits every season but you aren't always going to be guaranteed they will turn out like Wall/Cousins/Bledsoe or Davis/Kidd-Gilchrist/Teague.

And where are all the apologist UK fans at?  Funny, they don't seem as interested in posting here when their team is exposed as a fraud.
