Indiana-Georgetown

Indiana-Georgetown

Tipoff tonight at 10:00 pm EST on ESPN.

Georgetown is a young team, but big and athletic, with very balanced scoring.  It would be a great game to have Perea and Jurkin available, for a number of reasons.

We'll get a close look at D. Smith-Rivera, and maybe a peek at Moses Abraham Ayegba, who was the focus of a heated recruiting battle with us a few years back.  Be careful what you wish for.

Meanwhile, Butler is up 35-18 on North Carolina at the half in the Maui Classic.

Not looking good for an NCAA decision tonight on Jurkin & Perea's eligibility. There was some hope for an announcement at 6:00 pm, but that has come and gone without any info, and Andy Katz tweeted that Coach Crean does not now expect an announcement before the game tonight.

Gonna be a battle. We will need Sheeladipo to show up big.

RE: Indiana-Georgetown

Tremendous first half of basketball. Both teams are killing it from the outside, 60% or more.

Our zone has G-Town a bit confused on offense, but we'll need to get a finger in their nose when they're lining up that trey. We're out-rebounding them 16-7, which is great considering their length. We're up in steals and assists.

We're moving the ball, moving well without the ball. Hard to imagine either team playing better at this stage of the season. Zeller needs to get the ball in scoring position more, but he's getting double-teamed immediately when he touches the ball.

Victor and Cody have 2 fouls each, nobody else for us with more than 1. Refs are letting them play, but it hasn't really been all that physical so far.

Very entertaining half of basketball. We'll need another half like the first, and it's easier to see us doing it than G-Town. Let's git 'er done!

5-0!  biggrin

Hopefully the NCAA stops Jurkin our Peter and frees our unfairly suspended players!  Give 'em the Ball State game to tune up for UNC.  Although let's be honest, if Butler can whip Roy's boys then we should be alright.  noidea

Remember that tool bag TrustInRoy character?  Wonder if he enjoyed that butt kicking last night?  tongue

It would be so much more enjoyable to make fun of PJ's name if he weren't an Indiana player.

Just think, if he were a Purdue or Kentucky guy, Peter Jurkin could really get the creative juices flowing around here....
