RE: David Kenney decommiting?

Well, it's safe to say Iowa has little to lose by making an effort, considering the Hawkeyes dropped their last 6 in a row, including a loss to IU. Kenney would be their highest ranked recruit, if they could flip him back. I would expect a feeding frenzy of recruiters around him if he indeed puts himself back in play.

The details regarding his father's departure, apparently to Indiana State, have not yet emerged. They will tell us if we have any serious cause for concern. It would not be surprising if the lad is a bit confused at this point.

Well put. Iowa just got a commit from a 5 star in state OL for 2014. Will he sign a year from now, stay tuned. If we have another crappy year we hopefully cut ties from a our coach with the best contract in the country and who knows what else happens. Only time will tell.

Re: David Kenney decommiting?

Yes, I saw this tweet from Rob Howe this morning:

  1. Altho meeting w/ # Iowa asst Monday nite went well, '13 IN DE David Kenney ( @ basedobama) decided to stick w/ # IU commitment.

I hope that puts it to bed.  Still curious about the senior Kenney's move to ISU--it put David in an awkward position, considering he stated that a big reason for his de-committing from Iowa in the first place was to be with his dad at IU.  He has been a great recruiter for us, though, in the meantime, and would probably feel even more awkward about that.  He has put great excitement in this recruiting class, and in IU football's future overall.

Hopefully, we'll soften up the Badgers for you tonight, and they'll come into Carver-Hawkeye a demoralized bunch on Saturday--serve 'em up some of the home cooking they're famous for.  Good luck.
