Perfect storm ends for Purdue's Hope; Where do IU, Purdue stand?

Now that Purdue has a win and IU can't go to the title game, the worst possibility is out of the way for Danny Hope. But plenty more can go wrong. Also, how does IU bounce back?

I fear that PSU is going to be mad about being robbed last week when playing a team in Red and White and will take it out on us, despite the fact that the letter on the helmet is an "I" rather than a "N".

Second, I worry if Purdue beats Illini and IU loses at PSU, the refs will assist Purdue to make sure as many bowl spots as possible are filled by the Big Ten.

IU football fans are uber creative when inventing reasons why we'll lose a game. I'm just as disappointed in the Wisconsin loss as anyone but this team has shown the ability to play straight up with any team excluding Wisconsin.

Now if you really want to be negative, you should start kicking the Tre Roberson injury can. Tre's injury has cost this program tremendously, most of us don't even realize what kind of season this team would've had with him behind center. I can positively say Saturday's game would've had a totally different complexion with Tre. He would've burned Wisconsin's defense, maybe not enough to win but it would've been respectable.

We need to come out and show some FIGHT against PSU on Saturday.  With a bowl game still possible, no reason for IU to come out flat in Happy Valley.  Now, we may very well lose anyways as PSU is pretty tough this season but I believe we can compete with them a bit.  And I think we will beat Purdue.  cool
