Louisville Regional: Day one Post Rating (1 vote)

Well, it's the second rain delay already.

Kansas up 3-0 with 1 out in the top of the first.

UK will pull pitcher when we re-start

Cards game won't start until at least 7

Dang!!!  That was a deluge, lol. Did you stay dry, Jody?

So Cody will be good for another day, no doubt. Really, really terrible case of nerves.

Kansas is gritty, as predicted, with some hitting skills. Needless to say, I'm pulling for the JHawks.

Yes, I stayed dry.

Never seen it rain so hard into the stands; like towards the press box windows. Also puddles but now field is dry and we are about to start back up.

Kansas up 3-0 and runner on third and 3-2 count on the batter; still just one out.

Who's going in to pitch, Jody?

It's 6-4 Kansas after 3.

This one could take a while. Kansas pitcher just struck out A.J. Reed after run scored off double and two wild pitches.

UK came back with Andrew Nelson, he's given up 3 hits and 3 runs in 2 innings.

And pouring rain again.

Would imagine 8:30 or 9 for U of L start, pending this storm

Maybe the Cats can use up some more pitchers.

They've got to be getting close to pushing Louisville/Kent to tomorrow, don't they?

Almost 6:30 and they still have stadium clear despite there having been no rain or lightening in the past hour.

All fans are still standing outside waiting.

Re: Louisville Regional: Day one

So a 7:00 restart of a game in the 5th inning means the Cards could start no earlier than probably 9:30. I would be surprised if Louisville/Kent play tonight.

The ESPN Gamecast had Kent leading the Cards 2-0. That's a tough hole to dig out of when you're 3 hours from your first pitch!
