NFLPA Collegiate Bowl this weekend

Both Mario and Alex Kupper playing in Los Angeles Bowl this weekend.  Good chance for both to practice and play in front of several dozen pro scouts.

I also see TE Ben Cotton from Nebraska on the roster.  It just seems like a couple years ago we were recruiting him pretty hard.

Re: NFLPA Collegiate Bowl this weekend

Mario had a good game yesterday.  Have not heard on Kupper.   Also noticed that Mr Agent Jordan Campbell (#54) was playing in the game as well.  Campbell received a nice practice report from ESPN Todd McShay  "Then there's Jordan Campbell, who transferred from USC to New Mexico Highlands, who had the most energy of any defensive player on the field. He was real enthusiastic. He had a good closing burst and good punch at the point of attack. You could tell the talent was there."

I forgot about that guy, I thought he disappeared from football.  Sounds like he is still one heckuva talent, too bad his off the field stuff messed with his Division 1 career.

Re: NFLPA Collegiate Bowl this weekend

I have been watching Campbell since he left here. He was the conference defensive player of the year the last 2 years and a D2 All American both years. I would not be shocked to see him drafted in the first few rounds this year. You are right though, if his "off field" problems didn't hurt him, he would have been an impact player in D1 by this past year.
