I "ignored" a few folks that are incapable of having a realistic view of our program. One overly negative nelly, and two that must be on heavy drugs to look at a scenario and see the hallucinations they claim they see (need I say more?).
Give it a try--I think you'll find your experience here is more fulfilling once you weed out the outliers that are incapable of a seriously, thoughtful, and informed discourse.
PS: the best part is if those folks reply to this thread, I won't even see it!
Blocklist usage
the only problem with using the ignore feature is that most of the people I ignore are not only uber-negative, but they are attention seekers looking stir the pot. 90-95% of the time they post something, they get a response quoting what they said -- because their posts are usually anti-Illinois in nature. So I end up seeing their posts regardless of whether or not I want to.
It's too bad they don't bring back a post rating system and somehow tie it into a timer so if you are a low rated poster then you could only post but once every 6 hours or so. I'm sure this suggestion will get the typical dissenting response from several posters who not only enjoy their persecution complexes, but are also more concerned about the board becoming more positive than they are about damaging remarks being made towards the team they supposedly follow.
