How to create a hyperlink to specific text (i.e. "LINK")
Works on ALL BROWSERS
1.)
Type some
text in your message like you normally would (i.e. the word "LINK"). It's a good idea to add a couple of spaces behind the text in case you want to add more text after you create your hyperlink and not struggle with hyperlink text formatting.
2.)
Select (highlight)
the
text you want have a hyperlink
3.) While the text is highlighted,
select the link button. It's looks like a chain link and is located on the formatting bar to the right of the numbered list button (the one with '1', '2' & '3' on it)
4.) A dialog box will pop up.
Copy and Paste the
URL from the browser for the article
into the line labeled
"Link URL". This is the only information you need to add, so ignore the "Target" & "Title" lines. If you don't know how to copy and paste, just select (highlight) the text in your browser address then right click and select "copy", then in the dialog box right click and select "paste"
5.)
Select the
Insert button on the dialog box
6.)
Complete your post as you normally would and
select the "
post"
button7.) Most important of all,
test your link after you have made your post
