I def think we'll get steamrolled... But I had a dream we won 24-0, and I NEVER dream about daily life, so that's gotta count for something... Right??!
PS. I woulda gone for it on 4th. Had decent push so far, a bunch of plays and a huge momentum builder.
I don't blame the punt, just not sure I'd have done it.

I don't blame the punt, just not sure I'd have done it. Terrible play call on 3rd and short, and at midfield you go for it on 4th and short to energize the team. We are a team that won't lose much more by losing, and can afford to take some risks now and then. I don't see how with the ball at midfield, and 3rd and 1, you go for a run off tackle on the weakside. That seems like a great time for a play-action bootleg and roll the tight end out with the QB. Send Lankford deep over the top and I think instead of getting a 1st down on a short run, you may pick up 15-20 yards and now have the ball on their 30 yard line, and within field goal distance with a few yards on the next few plays. |

Always good to punt on 4th and inches on the fifty when you have a terrible defense facing a strong offense.
