Texas A.D. Dodds takes shot at Mizzou

While we have no room to talk about bad years, you gotta love this -

“Our bad years are not that bad. Take a school like Missouri. Our bad years are better than their good years. But we’ve created a standard.”

Yech... I hate Mizzou and everything but Texas' AD looks like an uninformed tool on this one

Their records are very similar since 07.
Texas = 57-21, Missouri = 53-26.

I think that's Dodds' point -- Texas thinks those are bad years, Missouri thinks they're good years.

Deloss Dodds has done less with more. UT should be a top 5 team in every single sport. They are only great in baseball and swimming (for men). Their financing, facilities, base of support, and natural recruiting pool are second to none.

It is strange that at least in football they have not been that relevant nationally for some time now.  Do you blame Mack Brown?  Now with A&M blowing up, it will be interesting to see if Texas gets back in the national mix.

Texas basketball hahahahahahahahaha

if there is a program that does less with more talent, I don't know who that is. kind of like zook's teams in football.
*-season includes games later vacated due to NCAA sanctions; actual records were 35-2 in 1995-96 and 38-2 in 2007-08. NCAA Tournament appearances were also vacated in 1996 and 2008.

Dodds is still PO'ed because Mizzou and A&M refused to kiss Texas' hiney and left the incomparable Big 12.
Sometimes the grass isn't greener on the other side of the fence until AFTER you're on the other side of the fence.

Texas is going to have trouble, A&M is no longer the little brother hoping to get recruits, if you go to A&M you will play in the SEC vs the Big 12 by playing at Texas.

The balance of power for the Long horns may we switching.

As far as nationally relevant, they have played for a national title twice in the last two years.

And have played in 4 BCS games since 2005.
