Keep up the good fight felix.  Maybe we will win some games this year.  I believe we all want UI athletics to be successful.  I know I do, and maybe the staff changes will make a big difference.  Hope so.

That's all we can do, iluvrt, is hope it gets better. I'm glad Beckman has able to sell his vision to some quality players, even though, many of us have some serious doubts. Let's hope.....the staff changes and new players is turned into better play on the field.

So Gonzales is now at Miss State, and Beatty is at Wisconsin.  A couple of good teams thought these guys were good enough.  Did we hire the right guys and just put them in the wrong job, or was this team going to struggle/fail regardless?

Not as offensive coordinators though.  They are great recruiters and I'm sure very good as wide receiver coaches, but neither was up to the task of being an OC and neither is in that position now.  I would guess that neither was willing to take a demotion to wide receiver coach at Illinois.

wide receiver coach is wehere you are put when you are a good recruiter, but not awesome enough of a coach to run an offense.
