Re: Treadwell to Ole Miss
Regardless of what his grades may or may not be, Laquon was smart enough to know we stopped playing serious football here a few years back............... tmbenne wrote: Is Ole Miss lower than any other SEC school academically, because he had offers from about every one. I haven't watched Ole Miss but I wonder how their passing game is, it looks like they have two 4* QBs coming in with this class, that likely had a lot to do with his decision.

Re: Treadwell to Ole Miss
How about some perspective.
Illinois goes 2-10 in 2006. They land 5 stars Benn and Wilson following that.
Ole Miss goes 7-6 in 2012. They land 5 star Treadwell and possibly Nkemdiche following that.
It's not officially official until UofI has a press release about it, which they did today on Fightingillini.com. Thats the the official site for the university. -

Ole Miss goes 7-6 in 2012. They land 5 star Treadwell and possibly Nkemdiche following that. And Treadwell has a buddy already there..................

Re: Treadwell to Ole Miss
Mississippi legislature is still actively investigating Ole' Miss recruiting class. Lots of smoke.

Re: Treadwell to Ole Miss
But I would guess the Mississippi legislature is also probably made up of Ole' Miss grads and football boosters ... so ... Illinibat wrote: Mississippi legislature is still actively investigating Ole' Miss recruiting class. Lots of smoke.

Illinibat wrote: Mississippi legislature is still actively investigating Ole' Miss recruiting class. Lots of smoke. Bill Self and John Calipari have gone down there and cleared this up with the legislature.........

RE: Treadwell to Ole Miss
I know this: Treadwell absolutely is more intelligent than alot of the people who post on this board & many of those who have posted in this thread

RE: Treadwell to Ole Miss
Ole Miss? This is analogous to choosing Purdue or some other also-ran. (We don't qualify as an also-ran, we are the bottom of the barrel.)
Guess he didn't want to compete with the big boys.

ILLINI .. No matter WHAT! If you bash Former Illini players, then you simply aren't an Illini fan. Haters gonna hate!

And your point? That 83 doesn't "know absolutely" that this kid is more intelligent than the posters. I often take issue when people say they "know" something when what they really have is an opinion.

RE: Treadwell to Ole Miss
when you read the idiotic & ridiculously stupid comments made by some people, it does not take much to figure out their intelligence.
I have never eaten a crap sandwich either, but I KNOW it doesnt taste good.
I dont know it all, but I know some things

Re: Treadwell to Ole Miss
no clue why anyone would want to go to Ole Miss, especially with Hugh Freeze who appears to be a very good coach.

I often take issue when people say they "know" something when what they really have is an opinion. Crete is my hometown and I moved back a few years ago. I have met Laquon, and I have read a lot of posts here. The only part to quibble over is the number of posters he is smarter than.................. BTW, four kids off the Crete team had ACT scores of 30 or higher. I don't know about Laquon's score, but I know that Marcus Terrell is one of them.

RE: Treadwell to Ole Miss
It makes me smile to think I was getting more action in college than the runner-up for the Heisman.
