3 UI Coaches watched Brad Beal workout @ Chaminade on 11/4
Brad Beal today at Chaminade workout. The coaches are doing a great job recruiting Beal. This kid is a special player and kid and he could make this team a top 5 team in the country.

Good news. If Bruce and staff are still traveling to see Beal one would think we still have a shot at him. Bruce is a recruiting machine!!

Re: Whole Staff is watching
Interesting to hear that! Hopefully it's not a "last ditch" effort on their part to sway him to Illinois. Landing Beal would not only make us a Top 5 squad (that's probably going to happen next year even before he gets here), but for as long as we have BOTH Richmond and Leonard here, it would make us one of the most exciting teams to watch in the country with all the other pieces we have in place (Paul, Richardson, Abrams, Head, Griffey, Bertrand, Egwu). What's your gut feeling on when Beal will decide on a school? Will he wait to see if Selby or Knight verbal to KU first? Is he waiting on guys like Rivers and Barnes (Nov 12th) to decide on joining Duke or not? Is there a darkhorse that has not been discussed (Mizzou, St. Louis)? Whatever happens, I'm really impressed with the way the staff has recruited this 2011 class, and Bradley Beal in particular!

I also find it interesting that the staff is going to Beal's gym today, then venturing over to Robinson to watch Leonard. These two players have reportedly been in close contact with one another in recent weeks!

"If Bruce and staff are still traveling to see Beal one would think we still have a shot at him." I don't think there is any doubt we still have a great shot with Beal.

Re: Whole Staff is watching Brad Beal today at Chaminade workout
It all depends on how the dominoes fall. Im a pessimest and i dont feel we will get Beal. Dont get me wrong would love to have him, but past experiences lead me not to drink the kool-aid.

Re: Whole Staff is watching Brad Beal today at Chaminade workout
FWIW, Klee's chat on IlliniHQ said that two coaches were on the road today...so, according to that, it wasn't the whole staff. Either way, good to see we're still keeping the pedal to the metal.

Either way, good to see we're still keeping the pedal to the metal. It would make more sense that only two members of the staff went to see Bradley Beal, considering Robinson, IL and Indiana were also part of the travel circuit today. Did Jerrance go to Indy, and Weber/Price to St. Louis and Robinson?
