Wake me when we can beat a decent team

Wake me when we can beat a decent team

I'm not all that interested in teams that can't summon the energy to defend the three point line vs. Harvard.  Monty's a good coach, but if he's not going to recruit better players, he needs to retire.

Not that I have any desire to wake you up, but aren't recruits like Bird & Rorie better players?

Missed the debacle lack of 3pt defense on TV because I was having fun watching Marcus Lovett Jr. score 36 points.  Losing to Harvard at home does not bode well for the Pac 12 season.

One player is not enough and by the time Rorie gets here, the few good players they have will be gone.  They need to do a lot better in recruiting.  The Kravish class is a waste.  Bak and Smith were wastes.  Murray, Franklin, and Rossi were wastes.  Rodriguez is probably going to be a wasted scholarship.

Either recruit with the big boys or go back to doing color on games.

After attending a couple of pre pac-10 games, watching parts of Washington vs UConn yesterday, seeing that UCLA beat Missouri  and then watching Cal lose to Harvard ("we should have beat them".. oh really? Why would Monty and others say that? )
... Cal looks  pretty weak compared to Wash  and IMO, definitely bottom half of the conference. No spirit or court leadership with this crew and that coupled with not being that good .. could be a long sad season ahead.

I'm curious to see what St. Mary's does vs Harvard tomorrow. We saw SM beat Yale today but  although it was a lopsided victory (without covering the pt spread) St Mary's doesn't look that strong either.
