The athletic department gives a total valuation of "endowment" seats sold and available for sale at $273M. They admit that only $150M has been "sold". These two figures are based on the single payment transaction. Then, in one sentence, they admit that the majority of the "sold" seats were "sold" on the installment plan. This begs the question of just how many of these transactions have actually closed and how many transactions are really just in progress over a period of years and may not materialize. What happens if the economy takes another dump this year?
