Re: UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN, ENJOY OUR ROSE BOWL WIN.
OK, BEFORE YOU SLINK AWAY, WHAT IS YOUR PREDICTION FOR STANFORD'S 2013 SEASON?
WILL THE DEFENSE BE THE SAME, BETTER OR WORSE THAN 2012?
WILL THE OFFENSE BE THE SAME, BETTER OR WORSE THAN 2012?
IN WHAT BOWL GAME WILL STANFORD PLAY IN 2013?
A) NON-BCS B) BCS AT-LARGE C) ROSE D) BCS CG

You'll be doing this next year when you meet CAL. In honor of Dick the Bruiser and his goriness it would be most becoming!! Mori expression of endearment before battle.

LET ME SEE WHO COMES BACK ON D FIRST, IF WE ONLY LOSE THOMAS, STEPHENS, AND MURPHY, WE WILL STILL BE A TOP TIER D. IF WE LOSE GARDNER, ANDERSEN AND SKOV IN ADDITION, IT COULD BE DISASTROUS. OFFENSE HAS TO BE BETTER, AND I BELIEVE IT WILL BE. WE WILL PLAY FOR THE NC IN PASADENA, OF COURSE! NOW YOU ANSWER THE SAME QUESTIONS FOR KAL...

Will Stanford show up for the Big Scrum? (1 vote)
Was it two years that Stanford was too cowardly to show up for the Big Scrum "because somebody might get hurt"? How long did it take to shame you guys into fielding a team that actually had the courage to show up? Will Stanford ever regain the Scrum Axe? The best thing about the end of football season is rugby! CAL - BALL NOW!!

NOW YOU ANSWER THE SAME QUESTIONS FOR KAL... I highly doubt Gardner and Anderson have NFL people wetting their pants, but isn't Anderson a RS Soph as it is? Even Murphy isn't projected as more than a 4th rounder at this time, so I'm guessing he returns. Skov has a 3rd round grade which he can improve with a great Senior season. There are some good players on the defense sure, but Stanford plays great team defense, so the players are somewhat interchangeable, IMO. As for Cal... It's really tough to make predictions when you've got a new coaching staff introducing all new schemes in all phases of the game. But... Cal will be way better on offense in 2013 Cal will be about the same on defense in 2013 Cal will make a bowl game and play in the Kraft Foods Fight Hunger game

A) NON-BCS B) BCS AT-LARGE C) ROSE D) BCS CG I predict 14-0. The defense will be better with 9 returning starters, the offense will be better with a more seasoned Hogan for a full year and a bunch of young WRs, and Stanford will beat the snot out of it's overrated SEC opponent in the NCG.

""The majority of our players played hurt the whole season, and now they are burned out and do not have the heart to play a team vastly superior to them in size, weight and speed," Boivert wrote in an e-mail to Cal coach Jack Clark informing him of the forfeit." Probably where Taliban got the idea about panties matching genitalia in another thread. Hillarious. Cal may be hurting in CFB this season but I'll bet my hat that they never forfeit a game because they have no desire or courage to fight. The Big Game used to be rugby, you imbecile. You are callow letting the media decide what is worthy of attention. Rugby is more physically demanding. Everyone goes both ways, There are no substitutions except for injury. There are 15 players on each side but only one referee. Las but not least, you have to be macho enough to hit without pads. It takes more manly athletes and leather balls to play rugby.
We are also proud of handing you your heads in football 7 out of the last 11 years.
So are you wimps going to show up for the Big Scrum or are you going back to being sniveling cowards?

Re: UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN, ENJOY OUR ROSE BOWL WIN.
Today Skov, Gardner and Murphy indicated that they plan to return. I doubt that Andersen will leave.
Chase Thomas will be a loss.
But the defense will essentially be intact and if anything improved with experience.

Now are you going to show up for the Big Scrum on January 26 or are you going to revert to being sniveling cowards?

DID CAL SHOW UP FOR BIG GAME '12? (3 votes)
jrsmithe wrote: Hillarious. Cal may be hurting in CFB this season but I'll bet my hat that they never forfeit a game because they have no desire or courage to fight. OH REALLY? THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I SAW AT BIG GAME '12 - A TEAM WITH NO DESIRE TO COMPETE OR COURAGE TO FIGHT. YOU'RE JUST DAMN LUCKY HOGAN WASN'T THE QB OR IT WOULD HAVE BEEN 41-3. OR MAYBE WE SHOULD GO BACK A YEAR WHEN OUR QB "CATTHOUSED" YOUR SAFETY AND YOUR PLAY OF THE GAME WAS 15 SECONDS OF DEAD AIR.

Thanks for all the laughs. Most fans of such a currently successful team would squander all the fun on their own board, not even aware that a 3-9 team exists.
