You recall that recordnet.com reported that Barbour had a meeting with MacIntire the day before the beheading of Tedford. What was that all about?

The Girls V.P. listed her criteria in her presser -- good character, clean finger nails, nice hair. MacIntire has Duke ties and the Duke AD is the bug in Sandy's ear.

Could you get a better write up for the criteria that Barbour is seeking as you find it in the Wilner column? Raised the academics at SJS. Innovative use of limited resources to improve recruting. Solid football performance. Seems like a good administrator. A golden boy who can smooze the suits.

This whole head hunting thing seems like a dog and pony show. I'm saying MacIntire has the inside track on this deal. And to boot, they can get him at an affordable price which leaves enough money to buy a good staff.

Peterson or Diaco.

It doesn't appear that Peterson is interested, and Diaco seems intent on staying in the Midwest.  There are several schools who can throw a boatload of money at Peterson, and Cal isn't one of them.

I read Wilners blog regularly and I do not get the opinion he hates Cal.  He just seems to be much more honest and objective than the Chronicle writers in particular

If MacIntire can resurrect SJSU the guy is a very good football coach. How many of you have watched SJSU under MCIntire? He is the real deal, a coach that teaches tough hard nosed fundamental football and discipline. If Cal doesn't take him someone else is going to be the lucky school. And he is right in your own back yard.

Has Bob Ladoceur's name come up at all? I know he's never coached collegiately, but he can flat out coach. Just curious.

Actually he hates college football, since he was a RB at Utah and SJSU. 

To him, college football is all about business and he is not that type of person. His coaching style is to make De La Salle players into better men, not athletes.
