How much more to we have to take?I'm putting in for either Charlie Strong from Louisville as who we should go after. My next choice would be Ron Rivera. Strong is a long-shot. Rivera may be doable. just like others, I'd love to see Gruden be our coach or pry Mike Price away from Corvalis, but those two are just pipe dreams.Anyone who continues to post that Tedford will be here next year needs to get on board with the "He's Got To Go" movement. Let's not talk about what we think will happen--"He will" or "he won't." Let's put some muscle into this and make it happen so that he's not here next year.I'm now reducing my predicted wins from 5 to 3. That's what this performance in Utah has shown me. I just don't see another win in the schedule.

I think the issue is moot as the buy-out is prohibitive, but I think some people believe that the early success was the fluke and the last few seasons more fit the reality. This season (and last) the offensive line play has been weak, the running game has tailed off, and the play calling on offense has been tentative. Many have complained that Tedford lacks, or has lost, any sort of killer instinct.A couple of seasons ago Cal fans saw the same sort of problems on offense as this season, but two seasons ago the defense was lights out. This season the defense has suffered a lot of injuries and is therefore thin. Given that the offense has been giving up the ball a lot lately and has not had sustained drives, the defense has been on the field a lot... the three and outs have become far and few between. In short, there is little reason for optimism. During the preseason there was some hope for 8-4, an expectation for 7-5, and the possibility of 5-7. Now, getting to 5-7 is look like a long shot. Disappointment is to be expected.

You guys are bitching about the same guy who pulled your program out of the gutter and gave it some respectability. Wow, Tedford has a down season and he gets thrown under the bus. Mike Riley only had 3 wins last year, and last I checked the Beavers are one of the best teams in the Pac right now. Coaches have bad seasons. It happens. Tedford finally has the facilities to attract the top talent. He needs a chance to recruit with the new stadium in place and I'm sure he'll find his quarterback.

Tedford has failed with talent in the past. His teams have always underachieved. They come out and play a couple of good games a year but then stink against teams they should have beated easily. That has been Tedfords MO. The year his team went from almost #1 to barely making a bowl game. That year he had as good of a collection of offensive talent that any team ever had. Lynch, Best, Deshawn, Hawkens,Cook, etc. All those players still playing in the NFL and what did Tedford do with them? He produced a break even season and the Emerald Bowl. Give him all the talent in the world and his teams will still underachieve. Players are not avoiding Cal because they lack facilities. They got those players when they had none. They are avoiding Cal because of the poor coaching.
