"Talked to someone who is very involved in the high school/club softball scene in So Cal, and he said that Fresno State, under the right coach, could be a top 10 job in the country because of location and strong softball in the community. Said that every serious club softball player from Idaho to Arizona has played in a tournament at Buchanan's complex. Of course, this was his opinion...but he might be right. I know every time I drive by Buchanan on a weekend from March through August there are hundreds of people out there playing/watching softball...and most are from out of the area."

I work at Buchanan prepping those fields. Right now its pretty much all rec ball going on out there, but once summer hits we are hosting a travel ball tournaments every weekend almost. Every other year we also host a National or western national tournament for ASA. Just a few weeks ago Fresno Force hosted a tournament that used at least 5 sites across Fresno/Clovis. I know NMSU has taken advatage of it. When ever they are in town, BHS is where they go to practice and they have had a few BHS alums on their roster.
