I think he has academic stuff to clear up.   Just because he's not reporting during the summer doesn't mean he won't be here in the fall.

Re: Summer School

Rivals mentioned that one of the spanish classes he was enrolled in for summer at State got cancelled, so he has to wait a little longer for another summer enrollment course to open. Something like that.

Because this was a canceled class, does anyone know if this will keep him from meeting with coaches, including CJB?

Spanish class in Fresno canceled? How in the hell does that happen? I can see it at the University of Alaska or University of Vermont, but Fresno? It doesn't make sense at all.

Lol. I know. But budget constaints at CSU's and such might be the issue. Things must have gotten better, because didn't almost all summer courses get cancelled a few years ago?

And yes, you have to be enrolled to have contact with coaches.

I think that all he has to do is to enroll in any accredited class.

Well, I am glad you explained it. I was worried they couldn't find anyone somewhere around Fresno who spoke Spanish fluent enough who could teach it.

There it is right there.

You go half way around the world to teach language and you could had stayed right here and taught the Fresno State football players how to speak Spanish. ...Scottydog ensenar espanol porque Scottydog hablar espanol muy bueno. El sabe burrito, tacos.

Well, go find a roach-wagon and get yourself a chimichanga. Scottdog doesn't make chmichanga's., His specialties are tacos, burritos and lots of hot sauce. I don't want to hear anymore whining about chimichangas. Everyone else got their chimichangas without out whining and so you can too.

Yeah why not? It is all good.

I doubt if Scottydog even knows what a "crunmchwrap" even is. I guess he would like it with lots of hot-sauce. Scottydog is going to have to brush-up on his Spanish lingo if he thinks he is going to teach the Fresno State bulldog players anything worthwhile. ...How do you say, "I want to get biologically intimate with a Mexican Senorita"?

I am sure that is the first thing these ballplayers care about knowing when it comes to learning how to speak Spanish ...I have faith Scottydogs Spanish class will be learning practical Spanish and not how to set a formal dining-table the Mexican way.

if the class got canceled, then yes, he'll probably have to wait until fall camp...after all, you have to be enrolled to meet with coaches IIRC.

Cancelling a Spanish class in Fresno is like cancelling catechism in Ireland.

My buddy's surname is Valdepena (father's family's roots in Spain), and he doesn't speak Spanish. Way back when we were just out of the navy, he applied for a job at a liquor store in a barrio in Long Beach, and they asked him if he spoke Spanish. He claims that this is what he said (minus the suit up part). He did get the job, too.rolleyes
