2013-2014 Bowl Payout

I'm assuming these figures are payouts to each team.

Big difference in per-team payouts between the Fiesta and Las Vegas Bowls. If only we hadn't lost our mojo @ San Jose.

I don't believe those are per-team payouts. I think that is the total payout.

I guess either way the money from fiesta bowl would have been eaten up by the hounds.

That is total payout split between teams/conferences. All expenses and any ticket guarantees come out of these amounts, so net is not always a great amount. I know we lost our BCS payout at SJSU, but look at NIU, from 7.5 mill to 250k with their loss to BGU! If Steel is right, then UNLV comes out smelling like a rose!

According to this, it's actually payout per team.  So, Las Vegas pays 1.1 million to each team before expenses.

Re: 2013-2014 Bowl Payout

those are the total pay-outs before expenses, non-solf ticket buy outs and conference revenue sharing.  If the Dogs would have made it to a BCS game the pay-out wast about 17 million (see Fiesta pay-out) and their cut would be about 4.5 million less expenses and each conference member would have gotten get about 750,00.  In Vegas the Dogs will probably pocket about 250,000 (maybe a little higher) after expenses, non sold ticket buy out and conference profit sharing.

Non-AQ teams don't get the full payout if they make a BCS game, they get half.

Go Dogs!!!

Re: 2013-2014 Bowl Payout

This is correct.  Those payout are approximates PER TEAM.

and as someone else mentions, the BCS payouts per team of 17 million is only accurate for AQ teams.  If non-AQ teams get into that mix, their portion is closer to 11 million (but that is more like 3.5+ for the actual schools take home).
