I think he stays at TE plus you could still use him on blocking situations whenever there is a dominate defensive end.

DEs need a different mindset. I don't know if he can play end or not. His film doesn't really lend much thought to that position. But his blocking should translate well to tackle. durtesanch wrote:

With the type of OL DeRuyter wants to build, you'd rather start out underweight with a great frame to fill out. Keep your quickness, balance it out with as much weight gain as you need. Dude is 6'7-6'8. 300lbs is as easy as a piece of cake, literally. jbbulldog wrote: Too light for oline

Based on his Hudl, we'd be missing the boat if he wasn't put at RT. In Pat's system, he could be a TE because as we saw with Marcel Jensen, were basically the OT'S sidecar.
He is athletic enough to play DE...his father did so in the NFL for 6 years, however, I think as an OT he has an NFL future. We shall see.
