Sounds like he could also play O tackle as this was what other schools were recruiting him for.  If he is quick enough to play DE, then he should also be quick enough to play OT.  Gives coaches some flexibility based on highest priority of needs.

I saw he was committed to BYU earlier this year....

270 lbs is too light for OT. He'd need to put on at least 10-15 lbs by next year

BYU was recruiting him as an OT and they just fired most of their offensive staff.  Plus he really prefers DE.

Louis is reported to run a 4.7 forty. He's originally from Haiti and started playing football as a Freshman in High School. He might be a bit raw, but the potential is there.

Awesome news, an article on Kim earlier in the season sounds like he could play center which the Dogs really need. Pattterson's film shows him playing tackle but listed at center?

RE: Three new O-linemen

Sweet I like Louis. Glad we are getting local JC stars, man we beefed up on defensive line. Kim looks like he might be able to play Center and Patterson has good size, hopefully he can play tackle or guard. I wonder how this effects DE Jack Powers, I was hoping he signed.

I believe due to transfers we number of signings is 28- so we could potentially have 8 spots left.

Here is how I want signed with the remained 8 spots
1-2 Two Offensive lineman signed additionally, a tackle and guard would be nice. Hope coach has something up his sleeve.
3. Leon Jacobs - recommits or another stud OLB
4. David Price S
5. Treshon Broughton CB - an additional corner to take Blues spot, I'm not so sure who :/ Shon Akins another under the radar guy from Georgia
6. RB WIcks or Deon Martin
7. WR Damari Scott
8 Spot ??? Hopefully we get a pac 12 talent out of no where ala Shannon Edwards in 2012 or Kyrie Wilson in 2011
Perhaps still add Jack Powers

Beau Hershburger might get offered at some point as well.I also notice theres a new Fresno kid on our radar at wideout. Feb 6 is three weeks away.

Re: Three new O-linemen

FORGET LEON JACOBS! To be honest his athleticism is the only thing he has going for him. His technique is horrible, he is soft, and his highlights look so good because he was going against inferior talent in Santa Clarita's rich, unathletic white kids. Besides, we are all forgetting the most important note about Leon Jacobs: he doesn't want to be a Bulldog!
Look at Michael Okoroike and you will forget about Leon Jacobs. Scout doesn't have him listed under our recruits but ESPN said we offered him. He is the same height, 15 pounds heavier, and just as athletic as Mr. Leon Jacobs.

RE: Three new O-linemen

ok my fellow Bulldog..

Michael Okoroike- whats that kids 40

Also looking at our enemies recruiting boards we should look at Boises prospects like
Matthew Sommer OT 6'5 310 from Oregon, I know we don't recruit up there, but no one is after him but the broncos or
Ray Davison OLB 6'3 4.69
Will Pretty OLB 6'3 210

Makes one wonder what the Fresno recruiting coach was thinking? After reading your explanation, I get the impression who ever was assigned to that region of recruiting responsibility is somewhat compromised. Do you have any idea why Fresno showed any interest to the point of making an offer in the first place?

Talked to Jack Powers coach, just committed to ASU this morning.  Bummer.  Nice guy and HUGE body.  I was hoping he would consider us, would have fit in well with our scheme.

Re: Three new O-linemen

I agree, he is light for OT, but given his height and frame, he could easily add 10-20 pounds and not lose speed under strength coach.

Yes, he decommitted from them and committed to us just recently.  Scout just updated he and kim right now.

Speaking of OL recruits

Both Scout and Rivals show OL Josh Tremblay as undecided. Did he recently decommit from Az state?

Hardly.  The Pac-12 has a serious athletic deficit to the SEC.

I think it's amazing how the adjectives change for recruits when they are coming to Fresno vs. to another school.  Keller was posted by many as a great recruit when coming here, but since he made decision to go elsewhere, he is now fat, soft, slow, etc.  Sad commentary on people's character IMO, and not talking about Keller's.

Totally agreed. When I canceled my premium prescription on the Bark board and then said it was do to a lack of content, anointed1sux followed it up by calling my a douchebag coward. He is just another Internet tough guy who wants people to think that behind that keyboard is a bad *** dude, but instead I bet he would pee his pants if he were to say that face to face to David Keller.
