A good friend of mine who is a local HS coach that played QB at Stanford told me greenlee is the real deal.
I'll take a former Stanford and nfl qb's word for it over a skills contest. But for him to even be invited to the contest says a lot.

I don't see how anyone cannot want to be a winner. All winners see who is winning and emulate what it is which makes them a winners. This applies to everything in life.
Let's say it was San Jose State and not Boise State who has done all this good stuff. I would feel the same about San Jose State as I do about Boise. Being a Fresno State fan, I would say, "WTF is wrong with you Fresno State"? "Get your collective heads out of your azzes and act and do what winners do". Do something about your whiny, sniveling sorry azzes.
I sure as hell wouldn't disparage San Jose State thinking by doing so I can some how lower them to my level and then feel all fuzzy about myself.....that is just plain bull-chit. I feel we now have a coach who appears to have the attitude and wherewithal to make Fresno State all it can be. I feel good about it and I am getting a good taste in my mouth Fresno State can demonstrate being a "real" winner and not the bull-chit yada, yada, blah, blah winner some tried and still try to make it out to be. It is one thing to root a support your team, but another thing to accept a losers attitude while doing so.

ok but you have to admit... even 20 years ago, the Dogs knew how to disappoint... Tieing Hawaii in 1985, small blemish on an undefeated season Going to No Illinois and laying a stink bomb, undefeated season trashed Losing to Bowling Green in 1991 Cal Bowl, Barsotti on one leg couldn't get it done... Then in the remainder of the 90's, the fall from glory, to the gang of 5 at DIA, to elevating again only to disappoint. We have not truly created a culture of winning as the expectation.
