Ice Hockey Wins

Ice Hockey Wins

Ice Hockey dropped the puck to start the season last night with a 7-3 ex win. Anyone at the game? Who was our top goalie? Anyone know the starter? How did we look chemistry wise? How did Yost (my fav arena in all sports) look? Is it still loud and proud?

Re: Ice Hockey Wins

I was there. My season tickets moved over about a full section as did the people we always sit by, and at the end of the game we moved to where we used to sit and couldn't figure out why we were moved in the first place. Weird. The place was about a third full so it was tough to gauge the crowd sound level. The sound from the announcer was completely unintelligible. Need to get that sorted out.

The team looked pretty good. Lots of crisp passes and hard hits, although 6 should be starters sat out so the team will probably have a different dynamic come Thursday. I think Racine looked the best, but Rutledge was pretty solid. Janny let in a couple but by that time we were up 7-1 and the D had softened a little. I'm worried about Merrill after the huge hit (no boarding call) he took. Selman was playing well too before he left with a bad cut to the back of his leg.

Let's get the season started!

Michigan lost 5-4 in OT on Thursday but rebounded 7-2 last night.

Team needs to gel on defense and the goaltending was suspect Thursday (Rutledge) and better Friday (Racine).

Another injury to Kevin Clare last night. The defense is depleted.

Defense is depleted two games into the season? You got to be kidding me. I hate be ranked in the top 5 seems we always lose.

Forwards need to keep up the scoring. Trouba looks good in the attacking zone too. But that's no surprise.
