What a golden thread...
more manure than a cow could put out in a decade, here is the rub though from a sparty point of view. Wouldnt I look very stupid ripping on izzo after what he just did last season getting msu into the title game, I would look very foolish questioning all of his moves right now yet their hero StIzabiscuithead is still harping on Beilein with nary a whimper from the sparties. Getting that team into the NCAAs, winning a game and playing very well against Oklahoma and St8 is still singing the same old tune??? C'mon now you proclaim to be a basketball guy, give credit where its due or admit that you are a Michigan st cackling hen. http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s...4460989&p=1

Landing Zeigler and...
Kearney will shut up most if not all the msu critics.

??? What makes you think it is ludicrous to think we could land Kearney and Zeigler? I feel we have as good as shot as any on TZ and have a very good shot at landing Kearney. We currently do not have room for McCallum (nor have I seen optimism regarding his recruiting) if TZ commits. And, Wall is just an immature, insane comment.

Re: What a golden thread...
I read through most of that linked thread. It goes everywhere and most of it I won't even mention...BUT...
I like what JB has been doing in recruiting. MSU fans may say we are getting nobody, but Hardaway and Smotrycz are both going to be great players for us. I'm also expecting great things from Morris and Vogrich. There's no reason for us to not have optimism after so many years in the desert with our basketball team.
I am concerned about our bigs (Morgan hurt, Cronin coming off injury, McLimans a huge unknown), and we do still have to recruit well. I look forward to this year's team...and nothing any overly obsessed fanbase says will deter that enthusiasm.

GO BLUE! i wouldnt say you are/have gotten no one but i dont think you have that star yet we would worry about such as a manny harris. now i have to believe manny is gone after this year and with sims leaving it leaves some question marks from our perspective moving forward. you have a couple guys that could and probably will have solid careers at michigan but its that go-to guy late in the games i dont think you have yet on the recruiting trail.

What do you expect from a group think that doesn't understand the game of basketball. The group think circle jerk leader A8ntStr8 is a moron. The sad part is that those people take what he says as gospel. When was the last time he was actually right about something.

Under JB, we are hopefully going to have guys like Stu Douglass that can hit big shots at big moments. I'd rather have 5 good guys on the court ready and able instead of 2-3 good guys with one great out there night in and night out. I know we'll have a huge loss in Manny and Sims, and the following season may be a bit of a disappointment for some fans. But, it's the revolving door of college basketball when the longest you'll have a guy is 4 years. But, that doesn't mean we'll be bottomfeeders in the Big Ten. When MSU lost Neitzel, they struggled some but didn't become irrelevant (I know, I know...it's comparing apples to oranges but bear with me). Why? They had solid players around him and have a great coach. Now, Michigan is building to that point, and we'll be much better off than we were when Daniel Horton and some of the other guys left.

It doesn't matter what we do...as the basketball "target" will always get moved by MSU fans fearing the rebirth of Michigan Basketball.. It's the same thing with Michigan fans and Dantonio/MSU Football....they'll keep moving the target at all costs to avoid admitting the obvious...that Dantonio/MSU Football are in a good place right now, and getting better.... st8isanidiot is one angry/bitter dude...I don't know what Michigan or a fan did to him in his past...but the dude has mental issues... ..his amount of hatred is beyond unhealthy.... where do you see michigan basketball in 2/3 years? I see Michigan being a perennial NCAA Team....I could see 1 out of every 4-5 years being an NIT team... I also believe that in those years that Michigan makes the NCAA, they'll make the round of 32 every time, the Sweet 16 consistently, and potentially the Elite 8 or higher... I see Michigan being a team that is in or very close to the Top 25 on a yearly basis...I see us being a Top 10-15 team every few years.... I see us always being in the top 1/2 of the B10, although IMHO conference championships will not be a staple....maybe we'll contend for one every now and again.... I see Michigan playing in a very nicely renovated Crisler Arena, and practicing in a brand-new, state of the art, practice facility...

But your team wasn't playing as well at the beginning of the year, if I remember correctly. That's more what I was getting at. Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought there was an adjustment time at the beginning of the year.

We have room for McCallum if Manny go pro next year. But that would leave room for 1 for 2011
