Basic at Durango:  31 - 21 Durango , Blazers Pull out another one against a tough SW opponent.
Coronado at Eldorado:  35 - 7 Coronado wins easy.
Liberty at Palo Verde:  42 - 6 Palo,  Liberty might be good but Palo will run over them.

Chaparral at Foothill: 56 - 7  Falcons, Foothill rolls again this week.

Re: Week 2 Picks

Del Sol at Canyon Springs : 21 - 14, Hunkie Cooper and the Pioneers start the season off right

Basic at Durango : 34 - 14, Basic picks up where it left off last  year, and will start the season 2-0

Coronado at Eldorado : 13-7, both teams are terrible, Coronado's Mucino out with shoulder injury, whoever has least amount of turnovers will win, i will go Coronado. (can any one tell me who the head coaches are for these teams???)

Silverado at Desert Oasis : 28-20, Desert Oasis will be Gorman's toughest conference game again this season. This game has potential to be game of the week

Chaparral at Foothill : 48-6, Foothill is my sleeper team in the Sunrise division, returning QB, RB, and 2WR's this team will be able to put up points and control the clock with bruising running game, lets not forget they beat Las Vegas high in 1st round of playoffs last season

Las Vegas at Snow Canyon : 34-6, Vegas rolls against Snow Canyon. After watching Las Vegas toy with Cimmaron last week, they by far have the most pure speed in the state. If they can commit fewer turnovers in their new pistol option offense, Victor, Rogers, Henderson, and Major could have big years! and their Defense is the best part of the team, Vegas is one of few teams that could challenge Gorman this year for a state championship

Rancho at Sierra Vista; 21-7, Lions aren't as bad as they looked last week versus Shadow Ridge, and they pick up first win of season

Valley at Arbor View: 41-13, Arbor View is welll coached and run the same GARBAGE offense as Palo, they just don't have Brandon Wright!  (just my opinion)

Western at Sunrise Mountain: 19-13, Sunrise Mountain wins the battle of 2 terrible teams. (similar to Coronado Vs. Eldorado)

Centennial at Green Valley: 28-24, Centennial wins a closer game than people expect, don't judge GV from the Palo Verde thrashing, 75% of teams would get beat by 40 points playing Palo, but Centennial starts season 2-0

Mountain View at Pahrump: 35-0, Pahrump cruises in this victory!

Liberty at Palo Verde ****game of the week**** 34-20, Palo wins a tough faught game and Brandon Wright makes a big play in the 4th quarter to seal the victory for the panthers. Liberty is very big and has tons of expierence, and should give Palo a great game......as long as the Patriot coaches stay out the way and let the players play!

Re: Week 2 Picks

Last week everything went as expected except for Durango and Rancho. I was wrong on both accounts expecting Del Sol to roll over Durango because of the Goroff Factor when in the end Durango was the better prepared team and deserved the hard earned win. Rancho on the other hand, was totally outmanned and outplayed at Arbor View even though they had looked pretty good in their scrimmage amking me think they had a good chance to knock off a young AV team. Now that the eating crow is done lets move on to this week:

Del Sol @ Canyon Springs - Canyon wins a close one after Durango showed them how it is done.

Basic @ Durango - Two teams with explosive offenses that should put the pressure on the defenses.

                                    Durango's defense rises to the challenge . I say Durango in a shootout 42 - 28.

Coronado @ Eldorado - Two programs in a little disarray with Coronado having a little bit more to work

with on the field. Coronado wins this one 28-7.

Liberty @ Palo Verde - Two very good teams meeting early in the season. Palo in a tough one 21-14.

Silverado @ Desert Oasis - Silverado dominates and wins going away 35-7.

Chaparral @ Foothill - Foothill dominates and wins ugly 56-7.

Las Vegas @ Snow Canyon - Vegas struggled vs. Cimarron for much of the game last week before

finally putting them away, and Snow Canyon should be tougher than C-M

in a down year. Snow Canyon will win this one close 28-21.

Rancho @ Sierra Vista - If the Rancho in the scrimmage shows up they should win this without too

                                            many problems. Rancho 28-14.

Valley @ Arbor View - The ugliest game on the board. AV wins 63-7. Ouch!

Western @ Sunrise Mountain - Western starts the year off right with a 21-14 win.

Centennial @ Green Valley - Green Valley gets rolling over a good Centennial team. GV 28-21.

Mountain View @ Pahrump Valley - A little home cooking in Pahrump along with a stronger team will get

                                                                them the win. PV 287.
