RE: Louisville leaving BE !
You can announce you want to leave but it doesn't do a bit of good if there is noplace to go on the other side (yet)

RE: Louisville leaving BE !
I'm not sure if LVL is auditioning or trying to force someones hand. You would think if they make a statement like that they have something on the table.

Link, please
I couldn't find anything about Louisville leaving Big East when I went to Comcast Sports Net. Maybe I landed in the wrong place.
Link, please, so I can see the story for myself.
Thanks.

If it's good for my alma mater, then I'm in favor of it.

Re: Link, please
I am watching CSN Washington DC .Sorry, I haven't found a link. The ticker/scores on the bottom of station is reporting this information.
I have a feeling I'm going to the woodshed.

MountaineerGuru ?
Since you're the only one who says you saw it, how about telling the rest of us how we can see it.
If it exists.

If it's good for my alma mater, then I'm in favor of it.

RE: Louisville leaving BE !
I for one, hope they are in. If I could choose one school to join the Big 12, and that school was not Pitt, it would be Louisville. Gives us a rival we have some history with, although brief, and a program that is getting back in football with Strong and a premier BB school. Regardless of what everyone will say, I am excited for this to happen.

RE: Louisville leaving BE !
CFE..No link but he is refering to the UL AD Jurich telling the Big East Louisville's intentions of looking around at other conferences and get a Big 12 invite. Basically telling the BE we hope to be leaving soon. No real invite yet. EDIT: Link http://espn.go.com/mens-colleg...sues-unresolved"There remains a desire among some member schools to leave. Multiple sources with direct knowledge of their situations told ESPN.com that Louisville athletic director Tom Jurich told the Big East board of directors that the Cardinals want to be in the Big 12 or the ACC, opting for transparency by making members aware of his school's true intentions."

Thanks. After 43 years on newspapers, including 13 as a sportswriter, I'm never comfortable with any reports that don't have a link that I can check. Which, in this case, I did, thanks to you.
Louisville and UConn want out. The Big East is dead. C-USA 2.0 now.
Again, thanks for pointing me where I could read it for myself.

RE: Louisville leaving BE !
It says they want to leave, it doesnt say they are leaving. I want to fly an F-22. Wanting to do something and doing something are two different things.

RE: Louisville leaving BE !
It would be great to add FSU, Clemson, UL, and BYU or Georgia Tech. It would make travel a lot easier while still playing Texas, OU, TCU and OSU on a rotating basis.

You want to run out of oxygen and crash that F-22? Those things need to be grounded until they can install a better O2 system...
