Now that the basketball schools have destroyed Big East football 

they want to take their basketball and dissolve the conference, but retain all the money that the football schools built up over the years.

They don't want those football schools from faraway places interfering with their basketball.

No they will not.  In 10 years if Villanova or Georgetown make it to the final 4, it will be considered a Cinderella story.  The schools with the big athletic departments are starting to dominate basketball as well as football.

Talk about having your cake and eating it too. Anyone with a clue saw this writing on the wall for the past decade, yet those idiots from Providence didnt know??? I think they knew damn well, they just didnt care. Always doing what was best for their alma mater, even at the expense of the destruction of the entire conference. I cant wait to watch those asses turn into the A-10. You arent getting a major network contract for basketball alone, I dont care how good you might be.

I will enjoy watching them burn in the very fires their arrogance created.

LOL.  I thought adding Tulane was curious too.  I thought the Catholic schools held the league back after VPI, Miami, and BC left.
